Speaking of the Laika Collection, I just finished my 3D collection since Kubo 3D is on sale for $16.99 at Amazon. So that put me around $45 for all 4 3D versions buying them individually.

That is a very odd color choice to use compared to the regular art, which actually looks really good. Not a fan of that one.

I really like this trend of keeping the steelbook costs lower by not including any unnecessary fluff.

As to the cover, I agree this cover seems to be a bit hit or miss. People either really love it, or hate it. I find it reminiscent of the artwork from classic jazz albums, which fits perfectly with the film, and I assume was the goal of the artwork.

I don't understand why these SteelBooks at BB are not yet available for in-store pickup. Only shipping and sometimes that's not even available until release day or sometimes Sunday before. What have they got to lose by accepting preorders?

The Rogue One steel book is definitely nicer than the mockup made it look. Glad I got one.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. I just got my copy and I think it's hideous. Monochromatic and weird looking, with figures that look too big for the background - like bad Photoshop. And why put characters on the front cover that aren't in any way essential to the story? It's like it was designed by someone who never watched the movie.
The stamping of the title is kind of cool though.

And it seems maybe Best Buy is wishing up : they shipped it in a box with packing material instead of in a cardboard sleeve this time -- both Rogue One and Persona 5 came that way.

Has Best Buy, or whoever develops these steel books, start putting artwork on the inside? Earlier steel books I purchased from Best Buy doesn't have any.
