Get one! You can set it up to debit from your bank account if you don't want another credit card.

Paying royalties on 'a whole bunch of wooden things' is probably a tad different than paying royalties on millions upon millions of DVD/BDs.

I'm pretty sure blu-ray.com put that date up as "wishful thinking". It's not on there anymore.

When I think Posters, I don't think

They're kinda cool though.

DVD cover is way less phallic. Sorry, Luke.

^ Han Solo's short haircut always bothered me in that photo used on the DVD cover art.

Um... OK, but I think the force is strong with this one. I wouldn't be surprised if we see UHD out of the blocks.

Why does it have to? No official specs on it just yet.

They were at the forefront of Blu-ray features in 2007...Ratatouille's commentary had supplemental photos pop up throughout, something that you don't even see today. With a shitload of upgrade incentives and all those $10 off coupons. Also they were pretty obsessed with BD Live - the weather on the main menu of Sleeping Beauty was supposed to reflect the real time weather in your neighborhood...for some reason. But with a new media, yeah I doubt they'd be on board at this time.

This is why I'm holding off on prebooking, as I definitely want the 3D version, even if it means importing.

I'm in the same boat. It would difficult to convince myself to buy this knowing it was shown 3D. If I had to, I would have no problem importing. I've done it before, but you would think this would be a title that would get a 3D release. If any one title could invigorate 3D Blu-ray sales, it's this one.

Were you all really impressed by the 3D on this one? There was only a couple of shots in the theater that I thought were worth the trouble.

Nope. In this case, not having a 3D release of this isn't a bad thing. Although that one bit showing that destroyer pop right out of the screen was pretty good, especially in IMAX. 3D didn't add much to the rest of the movie.

even if it wasn't utilized effectively or as effectively as some others i would still take the option as that is my preferred choice nowadays...

Not for me, just because it was in 3D doesn't mean I may want it for home viewing. In fact, I'd prefer it if they gave us the IMAX scenes in their original aspect ratio over 3D. Sure it was only a scene, but at least it was shot that way.

Disney has done this for both Tron: Legacy and Guardians of the Galaxy (well, only on the 3D disc). I don't see why they wouldn't do it here.

Not only did 3D not add much to the movie, I found it detracted from it. It's like reading a pop-up book.
It feels like it's a slap in the face to the cinematographer. Here's this nicely framed shot that's trying to convey a certain mood and setting - but it's destroyed because a person/object is popping out and taking total focus away from everything else. Very annoying and distracting.

I initially didn't have any plans to see the film again, but I think I'll watching it again in non-3D to see all the stuff I missed.

Disney still hasn't given Region A FROZEN in 3D. They haven't been supporting the format much in Region A. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if Disney, Lucasfilm, or Bad Robot gets more input on what's on the final disc(s). The Marvel movies have still been supporting 3D with their releases.
