Does Best Buy automatically adjust preorder prices if it goes down from the time of the preorder? I preordered weeks ago at a higher price...

No they don't in my experience and it's fucking annoying. Basically you have to call after the fact.

It just happened to me on a Dream Theater CD for $2 but I felt it wasn't even worth the trouble. However my Sherlock Abominable Bride Blu-ray dropped $7 right on release day and I had to call to get it back. It was like a 10 minute call while the rep got "approval".

I only keep pre-ordering from BB because I have free shipping through Elite status so that makes it a better deal than Amazon for me since I get charged tax at Amazon now. But that will change if this keeps happening.

Just an FYI, next week Best Buy is also running a deal if you buy Spectre you can get $5 off one of the other James Bond steelbooks. Currently the other Craig movies are $9.99, so that might hold over to next week.

That would get me to bite. I imagine there is a massive amount of overstock for these Bond steelbooks.

Nope. But then again it never says anything like that when you pre-order a game that comes with a $10 RZ Certificate, either. You'll be fine.

Re: SPECTRE -- February 9, 2016

I swung by Target during lunch and they didn't have any of the exclusives. Not sure if they were sold out or didn't get any in. Two weeks in a row now is kinda nuts with different exclusives being out of stock at Target. My copy is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so they better send the right one.

And Best Buy had plenty of steelbooks. Looks like those aren't flying off the shelves.

I picked up my preorder yesterday. I looked in my account and it already shows the 250 bonus points as pending plus the purchase points.

Did you look at the front of the store? With new releases, they tend to also put them on an endcap in front of a checkout lane. My Target was practically overflowing with them up front.

Well shit, I had a Best Buy gift card so I passed up the Target version for the Steelbook and I gotta say, it's one beautiful steelbook! I've always been a less-is-more kind of guy when it comes to cover art and this one is great. The bullet hole indentation is a nice touch too!

Re: SPECTRE -- February 9, 2016

Do you get the 250 bonus points if you buy you buy the steelbook in store? Also lokks like this one has no inside art. For some reason that always bothers me. Would be so easy for them to put something in there. Even the previous BB Bond's has the 007 logo in them based on the unboxings I have seen.

OK. Guess I'll chance that there still will be steelbooks available when this goes on a better sale.

It's minimal, but the Spectre steelbook does have inside art. It looks like this:

Wow, thanks. That unboxing video must have been shot very poorly because it looked like just a solid black background both sides.

Yeah, it's a little tough to see even in person through the plastic because the logo is just a slightly darker shade of gray than the background.

I have the Target version. The "bonus" disc is pointless, a minor ten-minute interview with Purvis and Wade about the SPECTRE organization (mildly interesting, but too short to be of any actual value), a music video for the annoying song in the credits, and a little piece about said song. Cost the same as the regular edition, so it wasn't a total waste, though I could've gotten my employee discount at work and saved two bucks. Should've gotten the steelbook, it'd have been much nicer.

Re: SPECTRE -- February 9, 2016

Really enjoyed the movie on BR, had a really informative extra on the making of the first 10 min of the movie.

Not sure if the entire movie was shot in 6k, but many of the scenes looked like they were shot in IMAX before being converted to BR (1080p)...Chase scene with the 2 cars at night.
