I agree about the documentary. Even the interviews with people in the industry who had nothing to do with BTTF weren't really necessary. The stuff about the people rebuilding Deloreans, not interested. Especially since they could have taken time to discuss Parts II and III more.

My Back In Time order got held up over a CC authorization issue, so I just cancelled it. Netflix should be fine for this.

Re: Back to the Future -- 30th Anniversary Trilogy

It seems some random sets shipped with new disc art, while the majority only included the 5 year-old plain discs.

Someone in another forum posted an e-mail address and phone number to contact about disc replacement. I'm not sure if this means one is in the works, or it's just a chance to sound off and be heard. Anyway, here's the info:

My steelbook discs have the old disc art, but if the content is identical I don't think I care - definitely not enough to initiate some kind of replacement anyway.

Re: Back to the Future -- 30th Anniversary Trilogy

Hello everyone

I just opened my trilogy set and there were no digital redemption codes. At least there was no slip for it. Am I missing it? I even played the discs, thinking maybe they were in there. Or should I bring back the sets for a replacement?

Re: Back to the Future -- 30th Anniversary Trilogy

I thought the Back in Time documentary was beyond essential. Even if it had a lot of fluff it had more Eric Stoltz footage than I'd ever seen before.

I sent off an email asking about it. I figured for $88 for something I already own (except for the animated series), it can't hurt to have different discs if they offer a program. If not, no biggie. I ain't losing any sleep over it.

I'll post when/if I get a reply.

I've been reading that this new set has some of the Stoltz footage included in the extras. True?

The doc contains a number of Stoltz scenes. More than I've ever seen before.

Which scenes are you referring to? The only ones I remember are Stoltz sitting at the diner with Cripin Glover and quick shot of him running across the street in the town square. Aside from that I just remember a couple of still photos of Stoltz in the mall parking lot. All of which we've seen in other Back to the Future documentaries.

Yep that's all that's in BACK IN TIME...stuff we've seen elsewhere and with no dialogue/sound to boot. I'm not sure what the other poster was talking about.

Re: Back to the Future -- 30th Anniversary Trilogy

Bought the 30th anniv limited gift set a couple days ago for 66.99. returned the 25th anniv set (which I had yet to open) on the same receipt today. So I guess I got it for 24.99.

A clerk in a real hurry may not scan the UPC until after agreeing to do the return. I've noticed a few places that still don't have scanning the bar code as part of the return process. It's are these days, but it still happens.

Re: Back to the Future -- 30th Anniversary Trilogy

The steelbook is on sale for $25 at Target this week. I never picked up the original release, so I grabbed a copy.
