Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
B-b-but the Sony BD is based on a recently discovered answer print that proves that the visual effects in the movie (like the text of Harker's journal entries) were created with the expressed intent to never be seen.

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
Looks like Season 1 of Games of Thrones is getting the Atmos treatment. Seems unnecessary really.

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
GOT S3 & S4 coming June 7th in steelbook form with Dolby Atmos. S5 was just released with Dolby Atmos, so I wonder if they will do a separate steelbook release as well.

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
I'm guessing Amazon will release the steelbook of Season 5 since I think it's their exclusives (I think since no other retailer sells them). These are my new goto releases for this show. Their sound is like no other, even the regular versions of them, which became a big sale for me.

for those who actually liked Hardcore Henry (raises hand) the German bluray (which is region free) has the theatrical Atmos mix (7.1 core)

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
yes the movie is flawed, but personally I'd put HH's Atmos in my top five favourite Atmos mixes of the year.

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
Hmm....now that is tempting....I do buy what I can if there's an Atmos mix or the sound in general is really good.
Yeah, not digging Universal and Disney's lack of Atmos (and 4K) support - especially with the Marvel releases. And hell, damn near everything else.

Re: The first Dolby Atmos encoded bluray is ...
Spielberg royally got screwed with Disney handling The BFG - his first immersive audio mix AND 3D, and it barely got any notice or released as such ... and the bluray is just another slap in the face which furthur negates the two.
