Disc 1 - Hard Target
Disc 2 - Lionheart
Disc 3 - The Quest
Disc 4 - Street Fighter
Disc 5 - Sudden Death
1st R1 for Hard Target, Lioneart and Sudden Death.
This is a good set of Van Damme at his peak. Shame they didnt include Timecop since it is Universal also.

They can't include Timecop since WB has it. and they already released it anyway. But I can't vouch for the quality as I have never gotten around to watching my disc yet.
Can't wait to get my hands on this new set.

I had no idea. How did WB get it? I don't recall what studio made it. I'm guessing then Universal just distributed it. Looks like it's a double feature with Bloodsport.

TimeCop - Universal -> Warner for home video. Was the same for DVD way back when.
I really want a good US release of Hard Target but have to zero interest in Street Fighter, The Quest, and Sudden Death. Hoepfully this will translate to individual releases as well.

I don't think WB always had the rights for home video. I'm pretty sure my HD DVD is Universal, but I could be wrong.
Lionheart is the one I am most excited about. Probably my second favorite VD flick behind Timecop.

You're right. Some weird back and forth on this one. The DVD and BD two packs of TimeCop and Bloodsport are both Warner with a Universal HD-DVD in the middle.

The Timecop DVD was definitely Universal. I remember it had the blank blue/teal banner on the bottom of the cover (meaning it was Full Screen only), whereas their widescreen titles actually said "Widescreen" in the banner. I had that DVD but I don't know if they had ever reissued it like they did with some of their earlier titles (like Uncle Buck and The Great Outdoors).

I've seen that one too. Never owned it because it was full screen.

I wish they would release these individually. I hate these "collection" sets. At least they're on separate discs. I can always make some custom covers, I guess.

Timecop was made by JVC's Largo Entertainment, which had its rights shuffled around. They also did Point Break and Used People, both of which were originally from Fox but Warner also owns those now. (Remember their red-line opening logo was always cool to look at going through the projector, that was about when I first started projecting film.)

I wonder if the Hard Target is the unrated version from the UK. Granted, I can't verify that the UK version is unrated, but still.
Anyways, this set should be cheaper:

There is a difference between the normal international cut and Woo's supposed master cut, which I don't believe has ever seen an official release in a Western country. Sudden Death and Hard Target have been out in the UK on Blu-ray for years, both of which I own. I would hope they utilize a newer transfer for Hard Target, the UK Blu-ray can look disappointing at times.
The existing BD for The Quest looks surprisingly great, one of Universal's better catalog transfers.

The "uncut" version of Hard Target is 100 minutes, "master" cut 116 minutes and the "R" rated version 97 minutes.

I have that Van Damme "Four-Feature Film Set" too, but unfortunately Lionheart is fullscreen. Personally, it's not one of my favorites anyway, but for those who care, this new Blu-ray set should represent a marked improvement for that particular film.

So to confirm, Hard Target is the 100 minute UK version. I watched it today and suddenly I was seeing new scenes for the first time. The PQ for the final fight in the grave yard is damn good too.
