Star Wars Collection Blu-ray 2011 vs 2013 Editions

Is there any difference between these? I don't care so much about extras, but more the actual movie quality. I would be watching these in 1080P, no special 3D or 4K.

When I look on Amazon, I see the 2011 complete collection, then two 2013 collections (3 movies, other 3 movies) that are packaged as Blu-ray + DVD.

Are the movies in these identical? If not, what's changed? Is it simple things like their light sabers changing color tints, or was actual footage cut/removed?

Thanks!

They are the same movies no additional changes. The complete collection is the way to go, and has three bonus disc of extras. No original versions though.

Which means it's NOT the way to go . In all seriousness, if you're a completist who wants all the extras, probably go with the full set, if you're only in retested in one trilogy or the other, I guess you could go with the smaller sets. Neither of them have he actual Star Wars films from 1977, 1980, and 1983 on them though. No, can't have those.

The 2011 sets were advertised as The Prequel Trilogy and The Original Trilogy. The new BD/DVD sets just mention them by episodes. I wonder how many people actually bought the first Original Trilogy set thinking that is what they were actually getting instead of the bastardized special editions?

I doubt enough people care judging by the record-breaking sales every damn time the ST movies come out. If they did, they'd stop selling and Lucas would've stopped practicing his revisionism.
