Of course there putting in very little effort. Just look at how they've paired up the films. No rhyme of reason. As someone who has his entire Godzilla collection in chronological order, this irks me.
Hopefully, we get the WS version of G v. KG and G v. Mothra. And hopefully they restore the original Toho end credits on all the films.

Other than Destoroyah/Megaguirus skipping over 2000, they are all chronological pairs.
If they put out GMK/Against MechaGodzilla we would have all the 80s, 90s & 2000 series on blu-ray except 1985 & 2000.

Clearly I wasn't paying the most attention to the listings. Yea, you're right, but if they list FW on the packaging ahead of S.O.S. my OCD will explode. It would've made more sense to pair GxM/S.O.S. together, but my guess is we'll get two more releases when the new film hits BD - Zilla '98/G 2000, and GMK/x MechaG.
I heard something about Toho waiting for home video rights on G '85 to lapse before looking into home video releases. Whoever gets the license can release both cuts, as Toho considers each film as one movie regardless of how it's been cut elsewhere.

Can't find any reference to any of these on Amazon. I'd buy them all if I could.

Note that both will have zero special features. The previous DAM BD was fairly stacked. The G v Megalon DVD extras that snuck out last year won't be re-pressed.

Wasn't the version of DAM with all of the special features extremely limited because something was put on it without Toho's permission, and is now a highly valuable collector's item? And damn, I wish they'd do branching versions with the AIP dubs .

Will those three BDs in the Amazon links come with the English dubs? Hope so.

Please explain. Maybe it's that nostalgic value that I'm after, as I remember all of these on VHS in P&S English-dubbed American releases.

The dubs many fans grew up with on VHS (myself included) were the ones created by AIP in the 1960s and 1970s, sometime reediting the films in places as well. When Toho sanctioned new releases for the western market ten or so years ago, they used the uncut Japanese versions with new dubs and completely different voice actors to match. To my knowledge, with the exception of the movies which have had Classic Media releases (War of the Gargantuas, Ghidorah, Monster Zero, Rodan), many fan-favorite AIP dubs such as Sea Monster, Son of Godzilla, Gigan, Smog Monster, haven't gotten official DVD releases and aren't likely too. Toho do have the rights to those dubs, but their already notoriously Draconian standards apparently tightened even further when Media Blasters put out DAM and Megalon with special features they hadn't sanctioned. Given the small potential market for those dubs (the average person likely doesn't care) and Toho's disinterest, I don't see it happening. Some fans have of course preserved VHS rips which kick around on bootleg and torrents, and I'm told some particularly ambitious fans have taken to trying to edit the widescreen DVD footage from the DVDs together with the AIP dubs, but long story short, they're probably in the wind to all intents and purposes. Even if they wound in the hands of a distributors like Classic Media who was interested in dual releases, they'd still have to go through Toho. And the chances of them giving them that are probably about the chance of the OOT coming out soon remastered.

With Echo Bridge losing their rights to the Dimension/Miramax catalog, I picked up Godzilla vs. Biollante rather than kicking myself six months from now when its officially OOP and prices skyrocket.
All I know is that I am going broke in May! Here's hoping Sony puts out Godzilla 2000 with the original Japanese cut and a kick-ass 7.1 track soon. That eight-channel SDDS mix made for its US theatrical release was nothing short of amazing.

Stupid Japanese studios and their lack of QA and trust in American companies in releasing their product.

Toho in particular has been notoriously Draconian in their treatment of their properties. And then they wonder why greymarket releases proliferate...

At least Anchor Bay went in and tweaked the master to be better presentable alongside upgrading the sound to 7.1.
