I liked this pretty well. I'll pick it up if there's a set of the three films all together as I don't have Pitch Black or The Chronicles of Riddick yet.

I skipped it in theaters when I heard the BD would have an extended cut. Looking forward to seeing this.

Looks like I'll get the 4-movie collection since I never picked up Pitch Black or Chronicles.

It could be the site emphasizing that as opposed to it coming from the actual PR release, though.

Nice, I missed this in theaters so I'll probably blind buy it as part of the complete collection. Never got around to picking up the old release even when it was under $20, but glad I waited if Dark Fury is finally on Blu.

I don't believe Dark Fury was animated in an HD resolution. The DVD was non-anamorphic letterbox because that was all the resolution in the source, which was a cheapie direct-to-TV production churned out to promote the second movie.
My guess is that it will be SD again, or possibly upconverted, but not native HD.

Just to save some people the trouble. The new collection has Pitch Black and Dark Fury on one blu ray disc. Dark Fury is still in standard definition and it's audio has been dropped down from 5.1 to 2.0. So if you have the prior collection, stick with it since Dark Fury is on a separate disc with 5.1 audio. Can't believe Universal fucked up this one.

That's a pretty good price for all three films, I might have to go with it. The first and third are pretty good, the second is weak, but does this include the DCs of all three?
As Josh pointed out, it was probably created in SD as a cheapie to promote the attempt to make a big franchise out of the second movie. Although dropping it from from 5.1 to 2.0 is an utter mystery to me.

Not sure what price you are referring to. Amazon has it for $40 and Best Buy for $35. Both pretty shitty prices, considering you can pick up the other collection for around $15 at Wal Mart. I actually picked it up for $5 when I bought Obilivion a couple months ago, but that deal may be deal by now. But if you are picking it up because of the digital copies, yes, it includes all 3 main films, but not Dark Fury.
