Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - 11/18/14

Looks like it's only being released as a 3D blu ray combo pack. Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and UV.

Best Buy will also have an exclusive steelbook

I enjoyed this despite the poor reviews, but this is a bargain bin purchase for me.

The only good thing about this film was the small part Christopher Lloyd had. Other than that a very blah film and I don't see myself picking it up unless its dirt cheap.

Nice though kind of strange that the "Dame" (i.e. Eva Green) isn't on the front cover...

Which is really how ALL 3D titles should be released. Even if someone isn't equipped for 3D right now, if they get enough 3D movies in their collections this way they'll be more inclined to buy 3D equipment later.

Didn't see it in theaters and no interest in owning it. But I will rent it.

I play all my discs through my TV speakers and I feel studios should release stereo-only releases for me and make all the people with surround sound systems pay extra for it.

I was thinking the same thing. I won't even think about getting this until it's at least under $8.

Agreed. By pushing 3D as a premium format of an already premium format they're not giving consumers any incentive to upgrade to a 3D system when they are buying new equipment.

Folks are going to wonder why they should upgrade to a 3D television when they don't have any 3D software, and will have to re-buy the titles they already have. It is difficult enough to get people to upgrade the movies they already own on DVD to blu-ray, and it will only be harder to convince consumers to upgrade their blu-rays to 3D blu-rays.

It also means that stores are going to be reluctant to give shelf space to 3D titles when they cost twice as much as the non-3D edition.

As long as the 3D version is on it's own disc. Because then I can sell it off esentially making my purchase of the 2D that much cheaper.

I can honestly say I have zero interest in 3D movies. Extended viewing of 3D gives me a headache and I hate wearing glasses.

Same here, although I haven't been selling off the discs. I have zero interest in 3D as well, so i'd be wary that if the only release includes a 3D version that the price goes up a bit on release week.

Supposedly 2D and 3D on the same disc.

No word on if they're doing a recut version like the first movie? I much preferred that.

Separate discs and they still aren't putting out a 2D-only version, nor charging several dollars more for it? REALLY makes the other studios less justifiable for their higher prices, and especially everything that Di$ney has done to try and kill 3D.

Big fan of the first one, but based on reviews, word of mouth this one isn't even close...i'm reconsidering the blind-buy. Is it similar to the 300 sequel dropoff? - which imo is a fair amount, I expected it - but I still enjoyed the movie/revisiting the world. Or is this worse?

Dig that German one but her face doesn't look like Alba at all. I think the artist just drew it based on the original messing up the likeness

i found it wildly mediocre. the first one had a soul and vitality to it. this one had nothing. not even a kick its step.

That German one looks like shit. Doesn't look like Alba or the comic.
