Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Hercules and Tarzan blu-rays were briefly listed on the official Disney pages a couple days ago, before being yanked.
http://movies.disney.com/hercules
http://movies.disney.com/tarzan
They had Blu-ray cover art and the words "Coming Soon". The rumored release dates for these is June 10.
Here is the cover art that was posted:
The Tarzan art looks like an old mock-up, since it has the old Digital Copy designation, and will probably be updated (yes, I realize it is the same as what was posted earlier in this thread. Nevertheless, this is what was actually posted on the disney.com site).
It's possible that The Black Cauldron will be getting a release this year also. Here is some artwork, again with the old-style design:
And in other news, Frozen is rumored to be finally getting the BD3D release in October. Ichabod and Mr. Toad is getting a special D23 screening this year, which could presage a BD release?

And "Peter Pan" and "Return to Neverland" are being vaulted on April 30. Buy them soon if you want them.

I read that scenes from Black Caudren that were cut from the film for rating and darkness reasons were fully animated and complete. Could they possibly be on this release or have they never been seen?

I'm surprised Tarzan isn't including it's sequel.

Hercules is good news. I always enjoyed that movie.
Tarzan, not so much. But it was a huge hit in the summer of 1999. Still... Phil Collins...

Never liked Tarzan. I liked his look but hated that gorilla buddy of his. It was a male but voiced by a female... I think it was Rosie O'donnell. I always fucking hated her even when I was a kid. If it just focused on Tarzan's side without the gorilla buddy being there I'd enjoy it much more I think.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Tarzan actually had 2 direct-to-video sequels. So, as per other releases, it is likely to be released in a two-movie collection, Tarzan & Jane / Tarzan II, about a month after Tarzan's release.
Edit: I guess Tarzan & Jane was a compilation movie of 3 TV episodes. So maybe it won't be released in a 2 movie collection. Still, to-date, all of the direct to video sequels for the animated classics have been released a month after the respective title, so I'd expect at least Tarzan II to be released after Tarzan. Or maybe it will be a Tarzan/Tarzan II collection, since the above artwork is not final.
As per the first post, currently rumored for Fall 2015.

Even tbe new shows only seem to get occasional releases, and collections of episodes - or even half-episodes - rather than full seasons, but the older shows based on films (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch) seem to be never mentioned as even being considered for release.
Why not? And might they eventually be...?

Does anybody know anything - or can speculate with knowledge - about releases of Disney TV shows..?

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Personally, I'm hoping for Black Cauldron.
I was 12 when it came out, and it actually was the movie that got me interested in animated features. I loved how dark it was, and how different it was from other Disney animation.
It would be great to finally see the deleted scenes, which were indeed fully animated and completed. Jeffrey Katzenberg chopped them out because he thought they were too gory and scary.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
That's been my impression, but then they've been releasing the lesser/rubbish sequels fairly regularly, while at least several of their TV shows are - I understand - held in fairly high regard both by fans and (some) critics. It's a little odd, and somewhat sad...
