One of the few movies out there which will make me double check my locks and sleep with my lights on wach and every time I watch it.

Big fan of the film, it is well done and the ending is truly atmospheric and creepy, and the score by Bernstein grates on you. Considering the DVD has been OOP for years now, this Blu release is excellent news and came out of left field. Let's get some more nice surprises like this...

I sold my Anchor Bay DVD a few months ago for a nice price so I am happy my gamble paid off.

Agree, the cover is not only really bad, but lazily put together...hey Anchor Bay, the movie is not about Frankenstein!!!

Just saw the DVDBeaver review. What a wonderful encode, Anchor Bay! Thanks for doing this one right. No wasted disc space! This release shows that it *is* possible to encode a 125 minute film at above 30 Mbits/sec on a single-layer disc.

Olive should learn their lesson by studying the technical aspects of THE ENTITY. Such a shame they waste so much disc space and their encodes suffer greatly as a result.

The Anchor Bay transfer is shit. Not sure what you or that reviewer saw. In addition, there's not even a damn menu or chapter title on the disc. And zero extras. I love this movie, but it should have been treated better than this.

I think DVDBeaver might be wrong about the bitrate. The video rate looks closer to 20 than 30 mbps.

Yes, I think the bitrate was incorrectly listed. The associated graph at DVDBeaver looks much more like the average video bitrate is 20.99 Mbps than over 30 Mbps. Anyone notice how much tamer the screen caps are now on new reviews at DVDBeaver?
