A new SEPTEMBER STORM update says they've managed to track down -- with the help of a donor -- cast member Asher Dann for an interview that will be included on the Blu-ray. Combined the SAM SPACE short, the trailer and (hopefully) SEA DREAM, that's not a bad set of supplements so far. Still crossing my fingers for a commentary, but I guess we'll see.

What are the best nature/undersea titles in everyone's collections? I have only purchased "Planet Earth" in high definition and would like to buy more nature programming primarily in 3D

Star Wars : The Force Awakens 3D is really actually happening:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Posted August 10 2016 — 3:07 PM EDT
There’s a new Blu-ray for Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming — this time with a commentary track by J.J. Abrams and some never-before-seen deleted sequences.
The four-disc “3D Collector’s Edition” will begin rolling out overseas on Oct. 31 and will be released in North America on Nov. 15, Lucasfilm announced Wednesday.
Along with the theatrical release and audio commentary, which wasn’t part of the original Blu-ray debut, the new set will also feature the “classic bonus features” from the discs released last spring.
Here’s what else will be in the new collection:
A look at how sound technicians blend action with audio effects in the featurette Foley: A Sonic Tale.
Sounds of the Resistance, another audio themed doc showing how the sound designers blended real recordings into otherworldly effects in the film.
Deleted Scenes – While there were a handful of deleted footage on the original Blu-ray, this one promises even more “never-before-shared” scenes.
Dressing the Galaxy – A look at how wardrobe designs from the original trilogy were retooled by costume designer Michael Kaplan to fit the galaxy three decades later.
Daisy Ridley and John Boyega share a conversation in The Scavenger and the Stormtrooper, a featurette that was released only on the previous disc as an exclusive at Target stores.
Inside the Armory – A tour of the various weapons and battle gear in the battle between the Resistance and The First Order.

15 hours to go on the September Storm fundraiser.
They added this new update if they hit $32K (they are approx $1300 away from that):

Thanks to your generous contributions, we have surpassed the $30,000 mark! We're so excited, and this means you will be receiving a 3-D Film Archive special limited edition Image3D "view-master" reel with every Kickstarter Blu-ray! We also promised that we would make a special announcement about a lost "mystery 3-D short" that we will be including on the disc.
If we can reach a final campaign pledge total of $32,000, we'll create a special Kickstarter-only 3-D lenticular cover for the Blu-ray, as a thank you for our backers.

^Yeah. That's why they are including the other two shorts in its place. It's a shame. Sea Dream will likely never see the light of day due to the music situation.

For those keeping score, the SEPTEMBER STORM campaign raised $33,591, and despite the loss of SEA DREAM (for now), this still looks to be a fantastic package for a film most folks had all but forgotten about until now.
The Kickstarter Blu-ray will include:
- Lenticular slipcover (final stretch goal for reaching $32,000)
- The restored feature SEPTEMBER STORM in full-color, widescreen 3-D (when viewed on 3DTV)
- Original 1960 theatrical trailer for the 2-D release
- Original 1960 TV spots for the 3-D release
- SPACE ATTACK (THE ADVENTURES OF SAM SPACE), the 3-D short that ran with SEPTEMBER STORM in 1960
- New 3-D interview with SEPTEMBER STORM lead actor Asher Dann
- A behind the scenes look at the work that went into the restoration
- Stills album of SEPTEMBER STORM promotional materials
- Two out-of-print music tracks from 1960 by big band vocalist Bob Grabeau - "I'm Gonna Be By You" and "Passing By"
- HARMONY LANE, the lost British 3-D short from 1954. More on this here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects.../posts/1656430
- Kickstarter exclusive 3-D Film Archive "view-master" reel from Image3D
- PLUS, more additional extras may be announced before the December delivery
They also posted this Blu-ray art in one of the updates, but I assume it's not finalized, or may undergo some cleanup before the final printing:

One hopes that Sea Dream might still be among those "additional extras" to be announced before December, but either way this will still be one of the best vintage 3D discs to date.

Looks really good, my kids and I watched it earlier this evening. Crazy ass sound as well. I think all 11 of my speakers got a workout when playing the UHD disc. But the overall 3D presentation is great and has a lot of active 3D stuff in it.

It Came From Outer Space - 3D Blu-ray is now up for pre-order for only $9.99 at Best Buy. Some are saying it is an exclusive for them.
I recommend going ahead and pre-ordering at that price. I was surprised it was so low!

That was originally going to be a UK-only release from Panamint, who put out "Inferno"- the price is certainly right on this, but I'm still too cheap to pay for shipping when they SHOULD have it in the stores given that it's a Best Buy exclusive. If this sells well, Universal will put out some more 3D classics so be sure to buy it either way!
