Target is listing the date as March 29th. That seems like such a long wait now, considering it was potentially going to be released on the 8th. I'm really looking forward to adding this to my collection.

With the success it's having at the box office, I'm just glad we're still getting a release in March.

Not that it matters a whole lot since it's only the cover but both kinda suck if you ask me. Never understand why they use lame images like this on Blu-rays/DVDs especially when the promo posters for this movie were so awesome. Oh well still in for this whenever it's out.

Yes, I would love to see the general American public go for a cover like one of these. While I know all of us here would (I personally love either one of the final two), the general public wouldn't. It wouldn't sell the movie. I'm pretty sure those posters weren't from the United States anyways, and there's no way the studio will use an international poster for a domestic release.

I canceled my B&N preorder at $23.99 and will pick up the red combo pack at Target, hoping they have plenty of them and a sub-$25 price.

Guess they were waiting until the day after the Oscars to see what kind of award sticker they could slap on the case:

both my wife and I are very excited about this release and it will definitely be a Day 1 purchase, but where from remains to be seen.
Cover art doesn't bother me that much, I'd rather get extra content for the same price, give or take a buck over the front of the case, given that 99% of the time it's just the spine you see. The only time you get to see the cover at our house is when I put the case on display on the 'NOW PLAYING' marquee stand I have next to the blu ray player.
