As the Producer/Director of the "Disney WOW World of Wonder" disc and related products, I hope to answer a few questions for Forum Members.

Also, I am at CEDIA Booth #5238 for the announcement of the new "Disney WOW World of Wonder" disc and related products. If there is anyone local, please feel free to stop by an see me. I am happy to demo the products for anyone who stops by our booth.

In the remote likelihood that this is embraced, it'd be good for all of us. The more casual viewers who have properly configured setups, the less likely it is that the rest of us will be stuck with overprocessed discs pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Oh wow. I just placed my order last night after putting in points for Fantasia and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

It was 1225 points.

Giles, yes. It helps one setup 2.1, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 systems.

Oh, so the "WOW" stands for World Of Wonder- I thought it was a reference to the legendary THX "Wow!" demo laserdisc.

So does this include the Goofy How to hook up your Home Theater cartoon or not? I saw a picture of it on the back cover. I know there's another DVD released recently that has it.

I redeemed some of my Disney Movie Rewards points for this on the first day it was released as a reward, but haven't gotten any shipping notice e-mail yet.

I hope I'm still getting it. It now showing as Out of Stock worries me.

I'd actually consider getting this since Disney does such a great job with all of their Blu-ray releases and it would be nice to have something so in-depth and exhaustive when it comes to setting up your home theater and calibrating picture quality, etc. Not to mention having some Goofy hosted shorts and explanations sounds pretty cool.

However, with this type of release Disney really should have tried to shoot for a lower price point. No way I'm going to pay $29.99 to get something like this when I don't even pay above $20 for Disney catalog releases.

I own Avia Guide to Home Theater on DVD. Does anyone know if it is worth it to upgrade to one of the BD calibration discs? I assume since they have test patterns in HD the results will be more accurate?

I believe the disc has a different Goofy cartoon, but not How to Hook Up Your Home Theater.
