You know, I'm beginning to wonder if Vader wasn't designed wearing a helmet just so that dialog could be changed until the end of time. The dragon call is terrible, and the "Nooo!"s aren't just terrible sounding; they actively detract from the nobility of the moment. So there; I'm as guilty as anyone else of being something of a Lucas apologist and I'm against these two alterations. I still accept that they're his damn movies and he can screw with them till the end of time, though.
I'm also beginning to wonder where I can find a quality VCR and track down the widescreen, THX VHS box from '95. I might just recreate Christmas 1995 this year!

You know I was getting excited when I read about the fixed audio, the better looking lightsabers, but I knew there'd be shit like this, and it's funny in a completely pathetic way to discover this stuff. I mean really - we need more fucking rocks!

I'm just dying over here.
These releases are starting to become bitter sweet for me because the new changes just keep getting funnier and funnier.
I remember last time when the Hayden Force ghost thing leaked out, and two guys on this forum placed a bet whether or not it was true because it seemed too ridiculous to believe.
And something occurred to me - if Lucas is including deleted scenes this time around, why won't he at least include the scenes he's deleted over the years from the versions we all remember? The fact that he won't even acknowledge them as deleted scenes shows what a complete dick he's become to the fans.

I just picked up some nice copies for $9 the other day. Lucas will have to pry them from my dead cold hands.

Seeing these few clips and stills, it makes me happy I never had any intention on buying these. I waited out buying the dvds until he released the (lackluster quality) originals and I planned on doing the same thing this time around.
Easy decision made even easier now.

Another change... in "A New Hope," in the added Jabba scene where Boba Fett mugs the camera, the bounty hunter now grabs his crotch and grinds his hips at the viewer for about ten seconds.

The new Ewok eyes. Not bad, I actually like this change.

That is who I was referring to. Except he was wrong about LOTR (as usual). And people are not commenting on screencaps (Picture quality), but obviously audio changes and....rocks? I doubt a fan edit could insert those. The rips are out there for those who want to see them. It's not drastic enough for me to cancel my pre-order...

Lol Bill Hunt.
Nobody's bitching about the PQ, they're bitching over retarded changes. Yes, the changes are mentally disabled. That's how stupid they are.

Yeah, but were not talking about the Picture Quality. It the changes/tweaks done to the films. PQ will be discussed when the BDs hit reviewers hands. Right now, it's discussing how Lucas changed everything.

re: Star Wars
When the discs hit the reviewers' hands all we will hear is how great the discs look. Nobody on major sites will dare speak out against this release.
Those who have looked at the leaked BR rips have confirmed various color problems carried over from 2004. It's being discussed elsewhere and a huge point of contention. However, I agree that the news about changes is what's spurred much of the internet discussion today.
