Kind of underwhelmed to be honest. Might get Return of the Living Dead and Death Becomes Her. Haven't seen The Car or The Guardian but they sound okay.

I also saw that under the normal Shout Factory banner Freaks and Geeks is being released on Blu-ray. I'll probably get it as I never got around to buying the DVD.

ROTLD isn't coming out until summer/fall of 2016. It better have the original audio.

I knew the day was coming, wish I'd sold my dvd of the Guardian while it still had value... Other than Freaks & Geeks any other Shout titles mentioned? The early Godzilla films were rumored..

Happy to see Nightmares among the announced titles. The Bishop of Battle segment is awesome.

The audio has been altered. Songs removed or altered, some voices re-recorded.

They redid the voices for the Tarman zombie and the "Send more cops," zombie for some reason.

There are also a couple of changes to the music; notably during the self-cremation scene.

They replaced the Damned song "Dead Beat Dance" with the FU's song "Young, Fast Iranians" for some strange reason as well.

Arrow's U.K. edition of THE CAR is more than respectable, and very affordably priced most of the time, so Scream will certainly need to step up.

There's a staggering amount of work going into this one too. All the editing / post-production for Freaks and Geeks was done in standard-def, so they're having to unearth the original film elements, re-edit/re-piece the show back together, and scan it all again. It's similar to the work that went into bringing Seinfeld to high-def.

As happy as I am of F&G getting a Blu release, I'm afraid of what the price is gonna be.

Or another Shout! release known as Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Unless there's more bonus material than the Yearbook Edition, I might just wait for the HD versions to hit Netflix.

First 5,000 copies of the Troll double feature include Best Worst Movie on dvd.

Cool. Kinda like how the UK steelbook of RotLD had "More Brains" as an extra. In HD. And region-free. Did I mention the feature film has the original audio?

Make sure to get The Legacy when it comes out. Scream Factory did a fantastic job on it with a new Hi-Def film transfer. It's easily one of their best presentations on Blu-ray in a long time. Universal must have planned to release it themselves at one point.

Looks good on paper. It would have been nice to get a new transfer on the theatrical cut but they need to save something for the inevitable UHD release.

I suspect that's more on Universal than Scream Factory.

Well, I remember saying that I had my doubts about Scream Factory topping the French & German Army of Darkness releases. I now publicly take these words back.
It's great to have the US cut color corrected, even though that transfer is not that great. The color always looked off to me. And, of course, it's nice to get a 4k scan of the movie. And I'll take an hour of KNB behind the scenes footage.
So this is going to be the 9th time I'm buying this movie (not counting the VHS tapes)
