Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy -- March, 2010 from Palisades/Tartan
Just received an e-mail confirming that this will be released in March, 2010, alongside the DVD. No details or coverart have been made available as of yet.

Damn... guess Im gonna be triple-dipping. I have the collectors tin of oldboy on dvd, and oldboy on bluray. Ive been hoping for the other 2 movies in the trilogy to come to bluray for a while now.
Now "Thirst" needs to be released on bluray.

I"ll buy this, but I think I'll also get the HK BD of Lady Vengeance, since Tartan has said that the only print they have that is good enough for LV is the fade to BW version. I'd like both.

Isn't it supposed to fade to bw? To me that says they're releasing the proper version.

I thought they were going to release both versions? Damnit. But...whatever version is the intended version I'm fine with as long as I get the special features. We're still getting all those features from the DVDs rights? ESPECIALLY the Oldboy tin set features..cuz I love to have those again on Blu. Oldboy is probably the best DVD set for a single film I have.

The R1 was just color, which is why I don't have it. I have the Korean disc with both versions.

Re: Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy -- March, 2010 from Palisades/Tartan
Saw an ad for Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance/Lady Vengeance in the new issue of Total Film (UK Magazine)
Looks like both films are out now on BD, but exclusive to HMV for the time being. I'm not sure of the Region Coding or if the Menu/Extras are PAL encoded. Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...226&sku=254404 Lady Vengeance http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...226&sku=790053

That is odd since Tartan have never region coded before, and they own the rights in the US and UK.

Is that the msrp for the bluray boxset?! Thats actually cheaper than i expected. Could that mean we could see the box set at a price of $40 or under??

Re: Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy -- March, 2010 from Palisades/Tartan
Does 8 discs apply to both DVD and Blu? Also..what features are we finally going to get confirmed. I'd like to get all that be had from those films. NEVER seen Mr. or Lady V. I would want the full color of Lady V though as well as the Fade to B&W. Plus any and all features that can be had.

Re: Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy -- March, 2010 from Palisades/Tartan
Well, according to the Asian Blu-ray Guide, it looks as it the Vengeance Trilogy will be exclusive to Best Buy until June something or other. It will, however, be coming in collectible packaging, which is currently the same as MSRP on Best Buy's website and available for pre-order.
