I figured Gary's rave would pique interest in Repo Man, but I'm guessing region-locking precludes most folks from buying it.

Pre-ordered Repo-Man and hopefully around that time I'll get my tax return and can grab a region free player

I've been buying Region B Blu-rays for a little while now and I still don't have a region-free player to view them on yet...The OPPO BDP-93 is the one I want but it's $500 and I can't afford it yet
Between the Masters of Cinema, BFI, Optimum and Arrow Blu-rays, I am going crazy!!!

I saw one time there is a site that sells firmware hacks to make Panasonic Blu-ray players region free. Does anyone have any experience with that?

Re: The Official Masters of Cinema Blu-ray Thread
I have a modded Panny and swear by it. If you cant afford the Oppo, I think a modded Panny is a very good alternative. Only thing is that the Panny mod costs about twice as much as an Oppo mod so you need to factor that in.
