Special features seem light, unless that making of doc is 1 hour+

Nice cover. Would be nice if there was a Cobra version too.

I have to admit that this was much better than I expected. Considering some of the turds I've been burned with, this will be a welcome purchase.

Yeah, weird to see advertising that doesn't focus on Baroness' breasts.

Re: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - 11/03/09

It was cheezy fun and I will pick up the BD. Wish they would have just left snake eyes on the cover and remove the other three in the bottom corner... eh, at leasts its not a bunch of floating heads. Hopefully the sequel will kick it up a notch and see more cobra related baddies.

Might get it, depending on the length of the features otherwise I'll wait for the price drop. Why do studios think it's necessary to promote the DIGITAL COPY edition on the front? Made me do a double take when I read it.

There might be different keepcase artwork underneath the slipcover

DVDtimes shows the 2 disc DVD inner case artwork. Hopefully the Blu-Ray has the same

Re: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - 11/03/09

I like what they were going for with the BD cover but I don't care for the excecution. The 2-disc DVD cover is a little better but still off.

I want a Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols bikini variant cover.

Anyhoo, the special features are very lite. I hope this means the price on Amazon will drop to $19.99 territory. Oh and I hate titles like 2-Disc Digital Copy Edition. It makes it seem like that's a bigger selling point than the damn movie in 1080p with lossless sound.

Having a Joe's slipcover and Cobra underneath would be slick.

I like that idea. Especially if it's a plastic slipcover a'la Transformers.

I just got this in at work today, and this post is correct, the Joe's are on the slipcover and all the cobra characters are on the underneath cover.

Gonna rent this. What is Cobra Commander's voice like? That was the only thing I really liked about the cartoon.

Yes this was cheesy movie. It was more geared to teenagers IMO but kinda fun. I kinda got bored 3/4 of the way thru it and didnt help I had to take an important phone call right in the middle of it.
I will rent this and maybe get it for $10-12(if it gets there) later down the line.
I enjoy movies at home so much more with our set up and especially with a good BD transfer, which unfortunately is not very common.

I hope you had your phone on vibrate at least. FWIW, if I'm going to see a movie, I always turn off my phone for its duration. If people can't have access to someone for about two hours the world isn't going to come to an end. The only exception I can think of is if you have a loved one in the hospital or sick. If it's work, certainly they can wait.

I'm in. Didn't see in in the theater because it looked horrible but I still have a soft spot for G.I. Joe so it's something I need to own.

Yes it was. I usually turn it off but Mom just got tested for Cancer again and was waiting for results.

Re: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - 11/03/09

So Paramount cheaped out and made the second disc a DVD (for the bonus features and the digital copy).....unbelievable....I might expect this from an old catalog title (like Road House), but on a new release? What a rip...new release titles on BD in 2009 should be expected to come with HD extras, IMO....

When was the last time we saw this, over a year ago with Universal and Hellboy 2, right?
