BTW, I just noticed that iTunes is selling the Criterion version of Lady Snowblood 1 and 2 for $20 each. Please release them on Blu-ray and I'll be really happy.

It's also presumably the first title in the much discussed licensing deal with Warner Brothers. I can't wait to see what comes next.

It's an excellent movie. cotillard gave one of that year's best performances in this film. It's very spare and not at all subtle but that's the Dardennes style. That said, it still packs a genuine emotional wallop. criterion has released several of their films and all are worthwhile.

It'll be coming to Netflix on June 16. One of my favorite movies of last year. Definitely worth checking out.

I was excitedly taken aback when I noticed here at DVDTalk that Costa-Gavras's brilliant The Confession has been released. I've been waiting for this to be released for a couple of decades.

I think it may be a reference to the Costa-Gavras Missing, which is due for a Blu upgrade.

Or, out of left field, it could be the Man Who Wasn't There.

Looks more like a straitjacket than a raincoat and I don't remember a raincoat being a key factor in Young and Innocent, one of Hitchcock's earlier 'Wrong Man' films.

The coat was a key part of the plot in Young and Innocent. However, I don't think the clue is for that film. Criterion likes their wordplay so I'm going with Michael Haneke's Code (Coat) Unknown.

That makes more sense. But no, belt of a raincoat as a murder weapon does not a plot make. After the murder ... how did it play a key part of the film?

I would say it plays a prominent role in the story.

Spoiler:
He tries to prove his innocence by tracking down the stolen coat. They find the bum who has his coat and he helps them. They find the match box in the pocket of the coat which leads them to the club.

I think you're right, although I wish it was an upgrade for:
