Watchmen: 7/28/09 (?)
I signed up for the new WB Blu-ray promotion and the (currently small) list of eligible titles with cover art showed Watchmen: Tales from the Black Freighter, but the date was listed at 7/28/09 (and we all know it's already out), so it's obviously just being used as a placeholder. Since that info is coming directly from WB's website, I'd say it's a safe bet that's when we can expect the film to hit.

Snyder said they hope to show the extended cut in some theatres in July so maybe August will see the release of the extended cut...? I cant wait to see it again on BD.

I have a feeling if this date is correct it will only be the theatrical version. If so I'll probably wait until they release the extended cut.

That was only going to happen if the movie did well and after that first week drop, I'm not so sure that'll happen.

Yeah, I'm not so sure Warner is going to be willing to put any more money into this (unless it was built into the contract with Snyder or something).

There's a French company that owns the trademark on the smiley face logo. Supposedly Warner had to pay them to use it in th movie, but they can't (or won't) use it in the marketing.
