Yeah, I'm going to wait for a sale as well. They say it comes with "exclusive packaging" and a signed letter from Joss Whedon, but unless the exclusive packaging comes with Eliza spread eagle, I'll just wait.

Yeah - I don't get the prices on it either - They want $69.99 for the exclusive and $55.99 for the standard blu. Usually these types of exclusives sell for the same amount since there really isnt new content to it. The letter I could definitely do without - however, I will probably cough up the cash for the LE packaging and the fact its numbered (1-2500). I wish there were more to it though, especially for the price.

Is it just me or is the picture a thin Blu-ray case (like inside Matrix, Austin Power trilogies)?

It (and the DVD case) actually looks slim. Seems odd but it may just be a poor mock-up.

Nope - you do get "early access" to one of the extras (via download?) if you order, and the boxart doesn't have the critic quote. Aside from that, it has the numbered "letter" inside, but thats it.

I waited until 10AM to preorder this - didn't show up until about 12:00 or so. Tried to order twice (despite the $70 price) but got a CC error message each time. Site went down for probably 5-6 hours longer due to these errors, but when it came back up they wanted $70 + tax (when it first went up, it was $70 total).

Made me come to my senses and realize spending twice as much for it was just silly, and that I don't really need any of the 'exclusive' stuff it comes with.

I caved in and bought it.

It is disappointing, but I purchased it in hopes of getting it signed at the show (since the Blu Ray doesnt hit stores until next week).

It's a standard sized Blu Ray case - and the set it exactly as you'd find it in the store except:



See how the cover looks a bit odd? That's because its a thin piece of paper/cardboard with adhesive to hold it to the front of the case (underneath is the normal cover). The 'exclusive cover' is just this piece of shiny/embossed paper stuck on.

The lithograph thing inside (it's a "magic motion" card) goes from all clear to clear with a picture of echo and the writing from Joss. At the corner is the limited #.

Thanks for the info. Figured Fox would cheap out on that like they've been doing for some of their DVDs (Taken). Glad I spent $33 on the Blu-ray instead of $75.

Wow. That's worse than what I thought they'd do. At the very least I expected alternate artwork or a slipcover. Not a picture glued over the case. That's not right.
