The Road Warrior
PQ was pretty darn good during the day scenes, however it suffered during most of the night shots. Still...for a 25 year old movie...it looked great. AQ was decent as well.
This was my first time seeing this (I know...I'm late to the game) and I loved it.
While watching it I realized that Butters from South Park was channeling Lord Humungous when talking to the girls in the episode "Proper Condom Use"...I knew it was from a movie when I saw the episode...but never knew which one. Parker and Stone crap pure gold...seriously...

The Deep. Clearly, this film on Blu is all about Jaqueline Bissett! She's absolutely stunning in Hi Def. The downside for me was actually the clarity. I remember watching this on a murky looking SD DVD and I could never see the Eel that clearly at the end. Now, I can see everything and it looks rather hokey. I'll watch it all again though just for Jaqueline!
The Orphanage. Entertaining enough but not at all scary. It really plays out as a "Peter Pan Ghost story" rather than a seriously frightening tale. Ok movie but no rewatch value. On both pics, the PQ were great. The Orphanage had great AQ where the Deep's AQ seemed a little lite.

Duplicity. Pretty good, could have been much better.
Another Clive Owen movie, another great transfer.

Sometimes I have to review some real crap, case in point: this week I watched Dr. Doolittle: Million Dollar Mutts. Jesus H., was that a difficult viewing. Mediocre PQ, weak AQ... the most amusing part of it was noting that, though he isn't listed on the packaging, opening credits, closing credits or IMDb page, the voice of Lucky the dog is none other than Norm Macdonald. Hahahahaha.

Watched V for Vendetta. Was too absorbed in the story to even notice PQ and AQ, though I suppose that's a testament to their quality.

Inkheart Not a bad family picture. It was pretty good with nice PQ and AQ as one would expect from amovie this new and Fired Up This movie was unexpectedly funnier than I thought it would be. I would have thought the unrated version would be a little racier than it was but still humorous.

Final Destination. PQ was OK, nothing world-ending. Haven't seen the film in years. The second one is my favorite and this one is humorous in comparison.

Just finished Season 1 of Battlestar Galactica. Awesome PQ and AQ. Really engaging stories that can be both slow and methodical and fast and electric.
Gaius has got to be my favorite character, when Starbuck caught him "doing his exercises" in his lab, I about fell out of my chair, and then when the camera cut back and Six was there, bent over the table... that was classic!
... and when he yelled "No more Mr. Nice Gaius!" I fell out my chair again!
I'll start Season 2 tonight.

Fracture excellent movie that looks great on Blu-ray. Needed some more nudity from Rosamund Pike. A little glimpse in the deleted scenes was all.

Friday the 13th: Killer Cut. Bought this a while ago but hadn't got around to watching it (saw it in the theatre) and was surprised that the additions to the Unrated version were pretty decent overall and the PQ/AQ was good for this type of film.

Started Sword of the Stranger and got bored with it. Took it off. I just couldn't finish it, unfortunately.
Then I watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I loved the first half, but the second half was not as entertaining IMHO. All said, It was still a very good film though. I'm glad I finally got to see it. The PQ was much better than I expected, and the AQ was exceptional.

Lesbian Vampire Killers. A lot funnier than even I expected. A total Shaun of the Dead rip-off but in a good way. PQ was really good also. Good detail and color definition.

Earth - looks stunning. makes me want the planet earth set now
Braveheart - great movie, but i dunno if this a 'must-own' title for me
Shaun of the Dead - great movie. was afraid of the hd transfer, but it looked really good.
