Re: Your Blu-ray wish list / "When will _______ be on Blu-ray?"
Finally arrived on Blu-ray as a Warner Archive release:
Showdown in Little Tokyo (Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee)
Received my copy over the weekend.
Nice upgrade from the original full screen release in the Warner snapper case.
R-rated version, no extras (a director's commentary would have been nice!), single layer BD disc, but it averages in the low 30's bitrate. Overall, a pleasing upgrade for a very cheesy B flick.

After checking out The Visit and really enjoying it I wanted to rewatch some older Shyamalan films and was sort of surprised to find that The Village isn't on Blu-ray yet. I know not everyone loves it but I've always found it sort of underrated and would gladly buy it.

Me and my bother saw Dragnet and my parents saw the Untouchables in the same theater. I had the record with the Art of Noise theme music.
Still Like Heaven
Maybe it was a bomb but probably one of the few decent romantic comedies.

The Pianist
The Shield Complete Series (they don't even sell the individual seasons on Blu)
Equilibrium (one with a good A/V transfer and some special features...the one you can buy supposedly has a horrid transfer and is barebones)

RANT
It appears as if everything out there is either a cult film no one has ever heard of Nude Zombi Holocaust Nuns 3: Undead Nurse Fetus Epiphany (in its original unsubbed Italian!) or a film that came out in the last four years. Yes, I know about WB archive and its meager offerings but in the total amount of releases, flicks prior to 1960 are maybe 1% of them. I never would have believed Chopping Mall would be on its SECOND blu release (isn't Slugs on it's THIRD?) while movies like Quest for Fire have never had a US release.

And someone really should work on those Golden Age flicks like Deep Throat, Devil in Miss Jones, Debbie Does Dallas, Behind the Green Door... All shot on film, well-regarded by critics and still remembered to this day. Vinegar Syndrome might do it eventually.
