Thus far I've convinced 3 people, that i know of.

I actually had to talk a friend out of it who doesn't even have an HDTV.

Everyone who's seen it or talked about it really just need to know facts in order to make their decision. This, to me, proves more than anything that Tosbiba and HD DVD need to get out there and answer people's questions about this format war.

I (partly) convinced someone on HTF. If my parents buy an HDTV set (finally!) I will probably get one for them for Xmas.

All the threads here and at AVS have convinced me to get one.

Just a matter of waiting for a Canadian retailer to carry them at a decent price (699 is the cheapest. That's $630 US).

You guys pushed me over the edge. I have a couple friends borderline that my player may push over the edge in the next month or so.

I've shown off Serenity to a few friends and they've been impressed, but not enough to shell out 400 bucks for a player.

I'll take another shot at it in a few months with The Matrix and Batman Begins.

Hell, it took me a few weeks to talk MYSELF into it...but I don't regret it - and I regret it even less now that Blu-ray is out and (so far, at least) it is "the suck".

I suspect that Josh Z (whether he knows it or not) has convinced more than a few people via his reviews of both formats. I know that they certainly made me decide to take a closer look at the two formats and stop sitting on the fence.

Bill Gates should definitely promote him.

This, unlike the "art" jokes, never gets old.

I've talked up HD DVD players a hell of a lot at work. I know I've convinced at least a few people to try the 360 add-on.

I wish Amir posted here. I'd tell him where to send my check.
