Blade Runner comes to both HD formats

From Variety Online and Thedigitalbits:

Blade Runner: Director's Cut will hit dvd/Hd-dvd/Blu-Ray next September and be available for only four months.

Blade Runner: The Ultimate Collection will come out within the next year for all three formats. It will include the DC as well as the Final Cut which is going to hit theaters for the 25th anniversary.

The Ultimate Collection will be mine in HD DVD.

Damn, I really have almost no reason left to hold on to my laserdiscs.

It seems the same fella who produced the Alien Quadrilogy is also working on this set, which is very encouraging. I've managed to hold off from buying the current DVD for so long, yet another year is going to really test my resolve.

That "fella" is probably the most well-respected DVD producer in the industry.

I have no doubt that this will be fantastic and I'll be happy to retired my current 2 disc SE
