I know that for the most part the die has been cast for the major studios in terms of who is supporting what HiDef format, but I was curious if any of the other smaller studios/distributor's have sided with one or the other.

I know it's all too early to forecast how this will all play out, but one can only wonder how and what some of catalog titles would look like in glorious HiDef

- Akira Kurosawa's Ran
- The Tales of Hoffman
- Suspiria

I would hope by 2007, the HiDef DVD bandwagon will kick into high gear

They'll wait Giles. It would be bad business for small companies such as these to spend money right now with no knowledge of what kind of turnaround they will get and high disc prices. I know companies like Denon/Onkyo and the likes are waiting as well.
