Bummers about the water damage. Glad to hear about green card interview. Hope to see you two at Con next year.

Great seeing you guys! Got home to a nice water leak and a ruined floor and wall. On the plus side we passed the green card interview! We are good for 2 years until the next round.

Do you really think George Lucas is going to come to a Comic Con? He'd be ripped to shreds!

We're still gonna head to Hooters as always after badge pick-up.

That would be cool if you could save me a seat. I do know how it can get in there, so if you can't it's no biggie. I'll probably at least make it in there... not sure how good of a seat I'll wind up getting. Yes, we can exchange numbers and can txt since I know how noisy it can get.

Awesome news about George. Would be even more awesome if it's true.

Well that's not a problem we can exchange numbers and I can always try and save you a seat in Hall H if we are in there. And want to try and meet for dinner and beer Wed before the preview like a couple of years ago?

Found this bit of news today too.

In other, very exciting news, TV Squad is hearing rumors are being leaked the George Lucas may stop by San Diego Comic Con to talk about the live action Star Wars television series supposedly gearing up to shoot in Australia as we speak. Or at the very least, Lucas may be piped in via videoconference. Let's hope he doesn't show up empty handed.

Interesting reads. As someone mentioned, just get to know your camera. Know it's limitations and adjust accordingly. As you know, there's a large gamut of lighting and distance situations. I couldn't image trudging around Con with a bag full of lenses. As you mentioned, it's fun just to walk around the floor taking pics of people dressed up. There's also some great photo-ops up in the autograph area... less crowded too.

Anyway, I wanted to take Weds-Fri off at work but we've had a large loss of staff so I can only take Weds off... half-days on Thur/Fri (I'll get off at 10am). Not too bad but I won't be able to camp in the Hall H line on those days...but I'll be camped for Saturday's Hall H.

Hey Tom, I know you like to take pics at Comic-Con. Found a couple of interesting threads today on a couple of forums I go to. I am Chewbaccacabra at Macrumors.

They said they're getting Hall H set up for several 3D presentations. I wonder how that'll pan out with seating and stuff. We should get schedules in a week and a half... or so.

Everything is sold out now, and a bunch of special guests have been announced. But forget all that, apparently Fox is going to do 3D previews of Avatar footage. That is what I'm giving a crap about this year.

Saw The Digital Bits had scheduled their show. I usually try and hit that, probably skip it this year.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:50 AM.
