That topiary lion is so cute!

Seriously though, Loved the movie, loved the book.

They're apples and oranges (or best looked at that way) and are both great.

The movie barely resembles the book, and I think that's OK - tons of eerie style making for a disturbing disorienting flick, while the book is obv vintage King.

    Two great tastes.

I love relentless and you so rarely see it.
I've wanted to see a Jason movie where he's not hiding in the bushes because he's unstoppable. He's out in the open, slowly walking down a busy main street in a major city and brutally killing anyone who's stupid enough to come up to him. The TV news teams cover it which only brings more crazies trying to take Jason on with a large, growing crowd of onlookers cheering them on. All challengers get diced and the crowds start to slowing vanish. The police arrive and they get sliced. Then the feds; same fate all captured on TV. The mayor calls in his best guys and comes up with plan after brilliant plan, all fail. It looks hopeless. It is hopeless. Suddenly, Jason shows up at city hall . . .

    I think it's the eyebrows.

It's hard to tell in the pic in this post.

I owned a few Gorezone issues back in the day.

But I haven't read an issue of either in quite a while. With Fangoria at almost $10 an issue now, I can't afford to support print media the way I used to.

    From Shock till you Drop.com:

Release Month for Friday the 13th 4-6 DVDs
    Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
    January 6, 2009

Following up on yesterday's report, we have now learned Paramount is planning on releasing those special editions of Friday the 13th of parts four through six this June. That's not too long of a wait, I suspected they would have arrived in the fall. It is likely that Paramount's timing the release of these discs to coincide with the DVD bow of the new Friday the 13th film. Also, there are rumblings that Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood and Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan special editions may not be far behind.

I collect mostly comics and I am especially fond of the DC House of Mystery and House of Secrets titles from the late 60's to early 70's.
Anything drawn by Bernie Wrightson, Neal Adams and Richard Corben.
I tried getting into E.C. Comics and some of the other titles from the 50's, but they are to scarce and expensive for me right now.
    Anything related to Universal Monsters.
