Streaming Talk Forum - too many catch-all subcategories
I want to open the streaming talk forum and skim through what's new in streaming talk, not see:
Netflix Thread
New on Netflix Thread
Apple TV Thread
Roku Thread
Hulu Thread
etc
Can't we do away with all of the catch-all threads? This forum doesn't see that much traffic as it is, we don't need everything put into sub-categories. And yes, it is too much work to click on each sub-category to see if anything interesting is happening with it or if people are just talking about something from six months earlier, or whatever. What you end up with is... a semi-dead forum.
This would be like having in the TV Forum:
HBO Shows
NBC Shows
ABC Shows
ESPN Shows
etc etc
It is just annoying, there doesn't need to be catch all subcategories. Let each individual topic stand on it's own.

Are mods merging any new threads into those main threads? If so, then I agree.
If not, then I don't really get the complaint. Just start a new thread for whatever you want to talk about.

I would guess that most people don't have all the services on like being able to check on one or two threads to see what's new.

This is what I was thinking. It's not really comparable to having major-network-specific threads because access isn't restricted to one or another. But I don't have Netflix streaming while everyone else in the world does have it, so I'd likely skip a general streaming thread because it'd probably be 90% Netflix. As it is now, I can just avoid the Netflix thread.
