Is there a reason that we can't all enjoy the use of an avatar...?

I'm sure it's already been covered before, but is there a reason that we can't all enjoy the use of an avatar without a premium membership? Maybe set a rule that you can only have one once you hit 100 posts, or something to that effect.

Going out on a limb here, but I'd guess that it's an incentive to sell premium memberships.

If they really want to sell memberships they should let everyone have avatars and make the option to turn them off premium only.

I wish the use of avatars wasn't part of the incentive to buy a premium membership. -kd5-

Well, this is the only forum I've ever been a member of where you have to purchase a membership just to post an avatar. -kd5-

I think everybody should get an avatar, but non-members have to choose from a pre-selected number of Tarantino portraits.
