Can the smiley list be better organized?
It's a pain in the butt to try to find anything in there, as there seems to be absolutely no organization. Similar icons like the stars or and aren't grouped either.
Can they be put in alphabetically, or some other better method? Anything halfway logical would be better than what we have.

There was no setup per-say, it was simply set up the way it is, and the order was decided automatically, I think, in the order of the way they were added.

If any of you guys want to suggest an order, when time allows I'll certainly endeavour to take that into account when I dive in and change things.

Maybe similars and opposites at the top, thumbs up and down and the stars off the top if my head. Then a line separator and everything else alphabetical?

Wow, I just realized that you can click the smiley image and it will insert it for you (just like it says).
I've been highlighting and copy-pasting the name in for years.

First get rid of all the smileys in the drop down.
then put things like the thumbs and some laugh smileys in there.
These should be in the drop down not in this exact order.

Re: Can the smiley list be better organized?
I guess there isn't an easy way for the software to show you which smileys are used most often?
The ones in the drop-down menu don't seem to be the common ones, for the most part, well, maybe 50/50. But I'm more concerned about the big list of them personally.

Re: Can the smiley list be better organized?
At this point I can say two things for certain:
- The earliest I'll be able to do this will be on the weekend.
- Whatever I do, someone will be unhappy with the final result.

And thanks for taking the time to do something with it. Any sort of organization would be better than nothing.
I resolve to shun anyone who complains about your effort. And if it's me complaining I'll feel really really guilty.
Either way, here's another $10 in your virtual tip jar. (And where's the smiley for that, get on that, ok?)

Small suggestion for organizing...
You've got some smileys that are simple facial expressions (no action):
Then you have those the ones that involve action:
Then you have ones that are non "facial":
-notrolls-
And of course, grouping the stars, thumbs up/down, etc. together.
Just a general thought. Take it or leave it. Just don't attach my name to it so I don't receive all the complaints that are sure to come.

Re: Can the smiley list be better organized?
Is it different?
I think it is.
Probably should hav a thumbs up since there is a thumb down in the drop down.
the duel is pointless.
There should be a headscratch smiley instead of duel.
Also should have at least a one star smiley there too.

Re: Can the smiley list be better organized?
It now looks like I'll have the time and access to do this over the coming weekend. So we'll leave this thread open for further thoughts until then.
Incidentally, as yet I have no idea whether I can alter the initial dropdown but I'm 99% certain there are no useage stats on which I can make any decisions.
