I dislike the post count being so prominent. It makes me look like a loser with no life. I prefer that new people have to read some of my posts before drawing that conclusion.

The spacing between quoted posts and posts and between posts and signatures looks tighter. I don't like it.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I don't mind post count. There's some big gaps between titles anyway

I like the new updates but the only thing that still bugs me is the mediocre search function. It seems that it has gotten worse instead of improving.

On a side note, there seems to be a glitch with the Scorpion King 2 review:

I've checked all my settings and everything is fine. I get logged out with IE and Firefox, on my home computer and my office computer.

It's worked fine for years, and after the forum update, it hasn't.

Is the new multi-quote feature working? I clicked on the button. It turned red, but nothing happened.

Click the button on each post you want to quote in your reply, then on the final post you want to quote just click the regular quote button and your reply will have all the ones you turned red.

So, what's the deal with this? It's a hassle to have to add a [ b] and [ /b] and the beginning and end of every movie title.

Kudos on the 'Post Quick Reply' without the full page reload

Do you know if the issue of incomplete search results is one of the bugs being worked on? As of post #30 DVD Talk Admin didn't seem to think there was a problem with the returns.

Same for me. My laptop stayed logged in and is fine, but using the same browser, my desktop just won't stay logged in. Pretty annoying.

And PLEASE fix the search function. I just finished Prison Break Season 3 and enjoyed going back to the old threads to read what people would say about each episode. Now, when I search for 'prison', it gives me totally unrelated threads back from 2003. I can't for the life of me get to the threads I'd like to.

I used the "Clear Private Data" option on Firefox with everything but "Saved Passwords" checked and that ended my logout issues.

I can also confirm some funny stuff in the Advanced Search page. I searched for "commentary" (titles only) and all the results were from 6-15-05 and before. I know nothing about vBulletin, but it almost seems like whatever variable the search function uses for the "current date" is set back to somewhere in 2005 and that's why it's not finding any newer posts.

Edit: Ok, I searched for my user name (Numes) in the "Search by User Name" and it listed all my posts (including this one).

Hmm.... I tried "commentaries" and it found some threads from this year. I guess my hypothesis was wrong.

I believe it may still be compiling a search listing. I do not believe it ever will be perfect, but keep checking. IB-Dick can look into it to see if anything can be done if it seems to be worse than before.

It may still be compiling a search index, but see my previous response.

Searching for just posts made by your username probably will always reveal your posts. I think. However that's pretty pointless.

As of this post though, I believe search is still pretty fubar.

As previously noted, the search function was screwy because the search indexes were being rebuilt. Since the forum is so large, it's got to index 5 million posts.... that takes a lot of time. It should be good now though, although I won't be able to verify that it completed until I get back to my desk on Friday.

It was one of the things being worked on, and it SHOULD be fixed. However, since we switched from a fulltext search to vB search, it will undoubtedly be different. It should be faster and produce better results.

That is correct, so people should have had more problems when searching for current stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty much worthless. There were a couple of threads I was looking to update, and just gave up after a few fruitless searches.
