That "An American Haunting" ad is damned annoying!
I guess the title says it all. I have heard that sound soooo many times, it's just stupid, now. And it was mildly startling only the first time, and did NOT "peak my interest in the film". I didn't even realize what ad the noise was coming from, as I bring up several pages at a time, usually, and read through them. Nearly every day, I do this at 6 a.m., while the rest of the house is asleep. Now I have to kill the speakers first.
Ho hum.
Ho hum.

It's still too loud! It also activates half the time when the ad is out of view. Sometimes just moving my mouse to the corner to press the back button activates it 3 or 4 times rapidly. It's really annoying.

I understand that ads need to get attention, but I don't know ANYONE who likes this kind of stuff. In fact, it's kind of turning me off from the movie. Don't the ad agencies get that?

I for one kinda like playing with it!
You see...
I start a convulsion like jitter with my fingers on my mouse-ball and cross the ad repeatedly just to see that eyeless-girl-corpse raise and lower her head at an exaggerated rate of speed!

Say it isn't so!
I for one don't mind any of the ads here, as they've never caused any hub-hub on this end, but folks actually like you, wendersfan!
(...however, EVERYBODY wants ME to leave. )
Go figure!
THEEK!

The most important thing to know here is that we do not actively go out there and sell ads that have sound or do anything other than just be there. But some clients require it in order for us to get their advertising. The original creative had the scream at about 4x the volume. I had them turn it down.
In short. We do care, so please be understanding when there's one ad which isn't your favorite.

Now, if you could do the legwork and get us the names of the ad's design team as well as the names of the executives who approved it, we can take it from there.
