Spyware on DVDTalk

I was disappointed to discover that loading this forum also loads spyware on to my computer. I discovered it when I used the immunization feature of Spybot.

I believe its the popup add that does it.

I'd like some "share the love" for the spyware.

Thanks.

Not really a Hot Deal without the coupon.

OOS. I was too slow.

Moved from Hot Deals.

It would be nice to know the ad that gave the warning so it could be tracked down.

Probably DDD popup. Thats the only one I get and I WISH you guys would get rid of it. I don't run popup stoppers (maybe I should) but popups are SO annoying and I know everyone here loves this board. Put the ad at the top or bottom with the rest

I always rooted for the white spy when reading Spy vs. Spy in Mad Magazine.

Does that make me racist?

We ABSOLUTELY DO NOT load any spyware on DVD Talk. We do work with an ad network which loads a COOKIE for ad tracking on the site only but absolutely positively NO SPYWARE!

It is possible that it was a cookie warning I received from Spybot. I am no longer receiving the warning either. I guess the Spybot innoculation is preventing it.

Sorry for jumping to wrong conclusions.

He was MY spy, too. My brother preferred black.
