We need a way to change our email addresses for our contact info

I have my home email address registered with dvd talk, and that's the way I like it since that's where I want to get my newsletters and such. However, I always use a hotmail account for web stuff such as contests, freebie requests, etc. I do that to avoid spam mail. I have my preferences set to list my email address on dvd talk forums because I like for users to be able to contact me if a reason arises.

Lately, I've been getting a lot of spam mail, and I suspect that it might be coming from these forums. I'm not positive about that, but it's the only place where I have my email address publicly listed. I would love to be able to list my hotmail account as my public contact email address on these forums, but it seems I can only either list or not list the address that I originally registered with, i.e. my home email address.

Can we change the settings so that we can have one email address registered with dvd talk and add another to use as a member contact address?

Would that be a lot of trouble? Thanks.

Me too.

As someone else recently mentioned, there is software that can "mine" websites for addresses and I think this may have happened....

I spent almost a month unsubscribing from various stuff, and got my spam down to about 4 per day. Now it's back up to @ 30 per day

I can't get rid of the spam now, and I shouldn't have to pay to get rid of it.

sigh...
