Hard Question: can you pinpoint when a particular ARCHIE COMIC was published?

One, called *"The Children's Hour"*, was in a Double Digest I read in the 1980's. I am 90% sure that most of the comics in these Double Digests are reprints, as opposed to original. By reprints, I mean that they were re-released, older comics. I think this because some of the art is "better" than others in the Digests.

I no longer have the Double Digest, but "The Children's Hour" stands out in my mind, and it was very funny. The story centered around the rivalry of Archie and Reggie, both trying to top one another in a foolish attempt to woo Veronica. I don't remember the story, or how it went exactly, that is why I'm trying to find it again. But I think I would have better luck if I knew if it was originally created in the 50's, 60's, 70's, or 80's (if it was an 80's original, I will be quite shocked.)

By the way, I'm a BIG Reggie Mantle fan. For that matter, I'm also a BIG fan of Reggie Van Dough, Richie Rich's cousin.

IIRC, it was a 3-4 issue run in Justice League Elite, right? Sales and reaction were both good, and I read rumblings that it would be collected in TP, but nothing. Any word?

I just wet myself. JJ Abrams to do Micronauts film?

Not a done deal yet, but this likely ranks as my all-time dream movie. * Micronauts *were one of my first obsessions, and I still own a couple of the toys I got as Christmas gifts back in 1976 or so. I loved the Marvel comic book series, the first 3 or 4 years of it at least, and still consider them one of my favorite things.

I ran across a site which I will not name. They have 1000s of issues of well known series' available for viewing, although all are around a year behind.

I understand the difficulty in the RIAA and MPAA curbing file sharing, but how is such a blatant disregard for Copyright Law still continuing?

To top it off, I found posts from the owners claiming they offered to do business with DC and Marvel, but when those companies refused, they hid behind the argument their website was no different than a public library and they have coded their site to prevent user download.

Question for those who have bought the Marvel Masterwork HCs or the DC equivalent.

so i went to the comic store near where i work today during lunch, and they had some of the $50 Marvel Masterwork and DC (not sure what these are called) HCs for $10 each. Only like random ones, like Superman vol 4 & 5, Batman Vol 2 and Captain America (issues 7-12 i think), and a Shazam.

I assume these are high quality, since they were selling for $50, but what i wonder is if I should bother buying a vlume 2 or volume 4 & 5 if I am probably never going to buy the other ones at full price. Do these contain full arcs, or am going to be frustrated reading them?

The price is almost too good to pass up.

Looking for some advice because I am being very indecisive tonight. I want to order a new hardcover Volume 1 book and I am thinking of either getting Starman Volume 1 or Robert Kirkland's Invicible Volume 1.

I know absolutely nothing about Starman, just interested in it because of its reputation as an smart entertaining book. Invicible, I have read the first trade and thought it was good but not great, but I have also heard that it gets much better after that. So opinions anyone.
