I know it's a simple question and something I should be able to figure out on wizardofodds etc. but I'm always forgetting and just want to verify as I'm off to Vegas tomorrow night... My friends are equally as bad, and they always just follow my lead like I know anything - I'm a blackjack player mostly...

I love craps, but am basically a newbie.. I normally just do the pass bet and take odds. only.

My question.

What is the calculation/rule of thumb to decide the odds bet denominations.

Let's say I have 10 on the pass line.

I know there is a certain calculation, that dealers prefer you bet to make their payoffs even based upon the point. They normally have to remind me a bunch of times and am hoping to avoid that this trip.

Can somebody please tell me the calc with actual denomination examples.

I always get jittery playing craps because I tend to not remember real well.
