So I don't have HBO and I am dying to see this season of CYE with the Seinfeld stuff. With the finale airing soon, will HBO pump the DVDs out for Xmas time? What has been their past practice?

I wish HBO also put their stuff for download on Amazon so I could download it right to my TiVo..........

I read an article a few weeks ago about how theater owners were mad at Paramount for releasing GI Joe onto DVD and BD in just under three months from the date it hit theaters...in the same article, they mentioned that Paramount was also planning to do the same thing with the Jeremy Piven film "The Goods: Live Hard. Sell Hard.".....I still have not seen any store (online or B&M) have this for sale yet, however today I went into Blockbuster and there it was, now available beginning today for rental! -screwy-

Anyway, just a heads up for anyone who wanted to see this movie and was waiting for a DVD release....looks like it is a rental exclusive for the moment...I should add that there is nothing on the case that indicates it is any kind of Blockbuster exclusive (like those Weinstein exclusives used to say), and Netflix does show that they are carrying it as well....

PS: Apparently DVD Empire now has this title listed as coming out for sale on 12/15....

I'm currently trying to get the website to come up, really hoping this will allow you to burn the Space Ghost CTC episodes not on regular DVD.

I can't get it to work in FireFox or IE, can someone else give it a shot?

How Many Unwatched DVD's do you own?

Some of you own big amounts of DVDs. I try and finish a DVD Set before I buy another just so that I got my money's worth and watched it

I try and watch what I do own before my next payday, even if I don't finish. I do the complsive thing where every two weeks I by at least 2 or 3 new DVDs.

Do any of you watch and finish your unwatched pile before buying more DVDs?
I don't know why but buying DVDs is a addictive hobby of mine. I love building on to my collection

Harry Potter Blu-Rays

I'm thinking of buying the Harry Potter blu-rays, with #6 coming out soon. Is there a difference between the 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set and the other boxed set on Amazon? Aside from the packaging, are there any extra special features in the limited edition set?

Also, does anyone know the cheapest I can buy them, even if it means buying each one individually? Any black friday deals?

Brothers & Sisters - S2 DVD Question

So, I ordered Brothers and Sisters season 2 used from eBay, and it recently arrived, and it looked a little fishy to me. For one thing, the image quality on the slip case cover and the inside packaging all seem slightly blurry, and not to the quality as other ABC TV show DVDs have. Also, instead of spreading the DVDs throughout the case as you open it, like in other TV DVDs, this one has hard plastic sleeves. Not sure how to properly describe it, and I can't post pictures right now since i'm at work and the DVD's at home. But I was hoping if someone could tell me if my copy is authentic or potentially bootleg? Maybe post a picture of your copy?
Because if mine is fake, I'm totally going to take advantage of the 18.99 Target sale!

Jerry Beck revealed that Warner will be releasing single disc Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck DVDs in April that will be all new to the home video market.

This is good news for me, as Bugs is my absolute favorite of the whole Looney Tunes lot. Too much of a good thing doesn't apply to Bugs.

I'm a huge fan of the show, but I don't think I can justify paying $16 (current Amazon price) for essentially a 45 minute episode when I've been getting the past couple of season sets for around $18. Hopefully, this will be discounted after Christmas. Or I can find a cheap used copy.

Future of DVD Rentals?

I don't think a 30 day window between the sales release and the rental release will make much of a difference.

People who like to buy will buy them and people who like renting will wait out the 30 days and rent it.

Those who download pirated movies will continue to do so, I don't think this rental delay structure will increase downloading. Usually you can get a download 30 days before it comes out on DVD regardless.

It may be a win-win for both the studio who may see their DVD sales increase and for the rental companies who will get a discount from the studios.

Star Wars "Correct" Watching Sequence

So I have all the Star Wars Special Editions and wondered how they should be watched. Should I watch the order they were released (IV, V, VI, I, II, III) or the order that shows on the spine (I, II, III, IV, V, VI)? I heard somewhere that George Lucas recommended watching them in the latter as that's how he planned it, but I wasn't sure what would be best.

Superman Movies

A while back I purchased all the Superman movies: Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Superman II: Donner Cut, Superman III, Superman IV and Superman Returns. I was wondering what the "correct" Superman II to watch would be. Since Donner was the original director, and his version was supposed to be the one released, should I watch it in lieu of Superman II? Or should I watch Superman II that was released? I don't really want to watch both as they're pretty much the same movie.
