To those of us in the US, Happy Thanksgiving all. I wish I felt better, but today of all days, I'm sick.

Was in the mood for some horror comedy, so I checked IMDB, and there it was, Tales From the Crypt is listed as comedy/horror. I just finished "'Til Death'.

I finished the checklist last night. For next year, it might be nice to change up some of the actors. I think Robin Williams might be a good add on to the actor list or maybe Ricky Gervais?
I feel pretty good about my theme night list. It's the first time I've really followed one and it really helped me decide to watch that day. Got a bunch of stuff off my to watch list. I did miss a couple in the beginning before I really committed to it, but I do plan on finishing strong.

Got in Planes Trains and Automobiles yesterday. Excellent comedy, Steve Martin and John Candy.

Taking a day off of challenges today. My depression is hitting hard today, and I just can't get into them.

The past few days I've been watching S2 of The Joey Bishop Show I'd picked up before I knew Joe Besser is in the program. Discovering that almost caused me to not even bother with the season but I figured I'd watch a few episodes before deciding. The writers didn't use *any* of his "whiny kid" schtick and he is actually funny at times. It feels very odd to say that he's quite tolerable in this one. The series itself is not too bad but often feels like it's still trying to find its focus.

Normally I'd draw the winners for the four prizes from Hamilton Books just after midnight, but my internet connection has been spotty at best the last couple days, so it may be later in the day, or later in the week before I post the winners.
Good that went through.
Just to remind you, here are the prizes up for grabs:
I Stooged To Conquer: The Autobiography of the Leader of The Three Stooges by Moe Howard (Paperbound - 241 pages - Chicago Review)
Saturday Night Live: The Best of Steve Martin (DVD - Trimark) & George Carlin: Personal Favorites (DVD - MPI)
Buster Keaton Collection: The Great Stone Face (2 DVDs - Sony Pictures)
Safety Last! (2 DVDs - Criterion Collection)
Winners will be chosen at random (using Random.org) from a list of active participants (two winners will be chosen from all active participants, and two from all active participants who haven't won during a previous Comedy Challenge).
You must have a U.S. mailing address to receive a prize.

Things are hectic today, as we have someone moving into our house tomorrow. Already moved into my new room, as I was forced out of the big bedroom.

Watched the final film for the theme nights. Pretty happy with my results-missed 3 at the beginning, otherwise I watched something for every night. Think that is pretty good for the first time I tried to complete the theme night check list.
I did fully complete the checklist, finished that up a couple nights ago.
Ended up with 71 watches, the majority of which were on my "to be watched" list. Not necessarily first time watches, but I haven't watched them since getting the DVD/BR. Overall, good challenge for me even though November was pretty busy.

List is as complete as it is ever going to be. I intended to watch more over the weekend, but I conked out shortly after getting home both days. Oh, well.

Managed to scrape past the finish line with 103, with a sprint yesterday. A mini-marathon of Bravest Warriors, followed by a 'Fatty' Arbuckle silent short, a movie (Hexed (1993)), a couple of Looney Tunes shorts, the Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales (there's a reason it's not a Christmas perennial) and then four Psych episodes. So, I did manage to mix it up a little, at least.

Finished with 61. With things being so hectic yesterday, I only got in one viewing on the last day, Major League, on Comedy Central. My list is also as complete as it will ever be.

I enjoyed the challenge, but it felt different this year. I had a desire to watch other things, so while I viewed more comedy than anything else, I didn't do so exclusively as I've done in the past.

Here are the winners (as chosen by Random.org):
JOE29
ross_r
HyperWeather
Gobear
PMs have been sent to each of you.
As I did in the past, to give them some say in which item they win, I've asked the four winners to list the four prizes in order of most wanted to least wanted (in case two, or more, people list the same item as their most wanted, the first to respond by PM will get it).
I'll list who gets what after I've sorted that out.
As always, if you didn't get picked this time, there's still hope. If I haven't heard back from all of the winners by Thursday (12/4), we'll have another drawing for the unclaimed prize(s).

I've already heard back from HyperWeather and Gobear, who had different #1 selections, so they should both be getting their preferred items. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll send your info along to GoldenWheels.

As I was typing that last post, ross_r responded. Sorry ross, you're about an hour late on your first choice, so you'll get your second choice (Buster Keaton Collection: The Great Stone Face).
HyperWeather claimed the Steve Martin and George Carlin DVDs, and Gobear was the first to claim Safety Last!. That leaves the Moe Howard autobiography for JOE29, if he wants it. Otherwise I'll do another drawing.
There don't appear to be a lot of Stooge fans this time around, the Moe Howard book has placed #4 on every list so far (Buster Keaton was everyone's #2 choice).

Thanks Dimension for hosting a great challenge, and thanks to GoldenWheels for the prize I had a pretty stressful month so comedy was the perfect thing to come home to and watch at the end of the day, so was able to hit almost everything on my goal list!
