Jacob's Ladder comparisons

I've already looked at DVD Compare, they don't compare these. Is there any difference (besides appearance) between these two versions of Jacob's Ladder?

Thanks, -kd5-

Re: Jacob's Ladder comparisons

There seems to be conflicting information about the original SE, DVD Empire claims it's fullscreen, Amazon and DVD Compare (if I'm looking at the right one, they don't do pics) claim it's WS. Amazon claims both have the 29-minute 'Building Jacob's Ladder', but all I see on the back of the newer one is mention of a 'Making Of featurette'. I think I'd rather have the original SE. -kd5-

Didn't you buy a blu-ray player? Get the blu-ray.

I appreciate your response but it doesn't answer my question. -kd5-

Re: Jacob's Ladder comparisons

I have the original DVD, I can confirm it's 16:9 widescreen. The special features are the same on both discs.

Elizabeth Pena is fucking hot in this one, if that helps.

Dvdloc8.com is another place to check.
In this case, for instance:

http://www.dvdloc8.com/compare_editi...vdselect2=1701

They're not always accurate, though. I have the Special
Edition and it is dual-layer and includes captions, despite
what this page shows.

I think at least one of the discs even lists her as a special feature.

Pretty sure those are identical transfers, just new packaging to reflect Artisan->Lionsgate.
