Shout! Factory is releasing The Smurfs & the Magic Flute on August 14, 2012 according to its listing on Amazon. The feature film has different rights holders than the Hanna-Barbera saturday morning cartoon.

In case you haven't read the review yet at this site, it's non 16x9 widescreen.

That, plus that fact that's not really part of the later TV series equals no sale.
