Another OOP Criterion?

I did not know that My Man Godfrey was going to be released by Universal as part of their 100th Anniversary series until I read the review: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/55379...h-anniversary/

Does this mean we can expect this Criterion to go up in price, especially since the review indicates that the 11-year old disc looks better than the new one (and has fewer extras too)?

Re: Another OOP Criterion?

Criterion is still in print, just as "Charade" or "Last Temptation Of Christ" are also still in print from Criterion, and released by Universal themselves.

Thanks for the reply. It also occurred to me that "My Man Godfrey" might be in the public domain as well.

Re: Another OOP Criterion?

As has already been said, Universal is putting out their own DVD ofThe Last Temptation of Christ for their 100th Anniversary, yet the Criterion is still in print (not to mention that they released a Blu-ray as well). Criterion has always had a good relationship with Universal. I don't think there's any reason to worry at this time.
