I can't imagine The Smurfs missing the big Christmas spending rush between November and December. If it does then I think that is stupid of Sony since those make great cheap gifts.

Super 8 is absolutely staying on Oct 18th. September is 100% done

october is 89% done. only movies to expect to be added are Elephants, Penguins, and possibly Begginers

Crowne, Benefits, Bosses, and Stupid Love are all streeting in november. last i heard America is December now. Cowboys coming out the week before xmas

Water for Elephants still doesn't have a R1 / USA release date but it streets on September 5 in the UK. I can't believe they would get it a month earlier than us when it premiered two weeks later April 22 (USA) vs May 4 (UK) in theaters. These big gaps have happened with a lot of titles lately.

Shouldn't you get something from anyone who would be stupid enough to challenge your dates? When you say October 18th for Super 8, I take that as the word of G-d. I don't question what you say or how you know to say what you say. I just have faith in what you say. It makes life so much easier.

Ok, except when you got Bridesmaids wrong. That was just lazy of you.

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

First of all Dolphinboy, I wasn't challenging anyone's dates. I was simply letting him know what another poster on his website is saying about the date of Super 8. Even I agree with October 18th date. I was simply checking with mvieguy if their had been any changes. I am not betting on anything.

Mvieguy, I apologize if I got on your nerve, but I did not mean to be pain in the a**. Please you don't have to hold the contest to prove that the date for Super 8 is indeed October 18th. I believe you, which is why I asked you. If I didn't believe you I would not be wasting your time.

Once again I was not challenging Mvieguy's date.
