The Cape the Complete Series 7/5/2011

I just found out about this on my Facebook page today.

Wow lol

I am tempted to buy but it looks like there are no special features.

shipping info

He’s righteous. He’s heroic. He’s The Cape.

Vince Faraday (David Lyons, E.R.) is an honest cop on a corrupt police force. But when he’s framed for murder and presumed dead, he finds that he must go into hiding, leaving behind his wife, Dana (Jennifer Ferrin, Life on Mars), and son, Trip (Ryan Wynott, Flash Forward). Determined to battle the criminals who now control his hometown, Vince takes the law into his own hands and becomes The Cape—his son’s favorite comic book superhero. Featuring an incredible supporting cast, including James Frain (The Tudors), Keith David (Death at a Funeral), Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Dorian Missick (The Manchurian Candidate), Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Vinnie Jones (Snatch), it’s the action-packed series that has critics raving, “‘The Cape’ is cloaked in awesome.” (OK! there were 10 episodes. This collection seems to be a couple episodes short.

Don't be so sure about that. Without commercials most hour long shows are bout 42 minutes each. Add it up again with that number in mind. Looks like 4 episodes on disc 1 and the other 6 on disc 2.

Evan is right each show is around 42 minutes without commercials like most 1 hr shows are really only 42 minutes long when you take out commercials.

Why put 4 episdoes on 1 disc with 6 on the second... why not 5 and 5? Doesn't make sense...

Tvshowsondvd.com confirms that it has 10 episodes.

I really liked the show, but with no extras it'll have to get pretty cheap for me to bite.

Exactly. 42 minutes by 10 shows = 420 min or 7 hours. If you add up the runtimes in the solicitation above, you get 6 hours 11 min. So one episode missing.

Sounds like the solicitation is wrong though because:

Per the listing on NetFlix, there are 5 episodes on each disc.. Maybe the press release misprinted 2:35 on first disc when it should have been 3:35..

Disc 1 includes the following episodes: "Pilot," "Tarot," "Kozmo," "Scales" and "Dice."
Disc 2 includes the following episodes: "Goggles and Hicks," "The Lich: Part 1," "The Lich: Part 2," "Razer" and "Endgame."

Watched the first few episodes, couldn't get in to it. After about ten minutes I knew it wouldn't last very long.

That's the first thing I thought about when I opened this thread. The Cape should forever be tied to that joke.
