This was my first drive-in challenge so I'm satisfied with my total, and I see a lot of familiar names in the sub-20 category so I'm in good company.

Definitely a lot of stuff I ran across that I'd like to watch next year, though.

Maybe someone else should run the challenge next year because the sputtering out of this year's challenge is pretty disappointing. I would at least like to have known what books were offered as prizes.

I wouldn't go that far. A results thread and prize list are nice bonuses, but not essential to a fun month/Challenge.

I just checked and that post on 6/02/11 was his last post in the entire site. I'm worried. Mentioned health issues, hope he's ok. Anyone friends with him on Facebook or real life?

Has anyone tried to PM or email him? If you click on "View Public Profile" it says "Last Activity: 09-06-11 08:22 AM", so someone using that account was on the site fairly recently.

It's not that hard to pick random winners and send them PMs. Since GoldenWheels said he still has the prizes and number2 was nice enough to make a list of participants, I wouldn't have a problem picking the winners if people are okay with that (and we don't hear from caligula).

No, not essential, but their absence has left the challenge feeling somehow. . . unfinished, like leaving unbilled charges on the books at the end of the fiscal year.

Agreed, he still put a lot of hard work into organizing the challenge and I appreciate that.

We're from the same city. Maybe I should head to the South Drive In and start asking random people if they are Caligula

Yeah, I don't want to see the mods taking a lot of flak for perceived inadequacies. I think that may have played a part in killing off the sheep games. I could be wrong...

If nobody minds, I can throw up a lame list like I do for my other challenges and assign prizes the same way, which is how this one does it since I stole the idea from this challenge.

Yeah, I was hoping caligula would make an appearance of some sort and say go ahead and pick the winners, or wait, or something.
