Any upgrade is likely to be in terms of picture quality only and even then probably below even an average catalog release. I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to find the release cheaper in the near future (as the Echo Bridge releases seem dramatically overpriced for their shoddy quality in comparison to tons of other decent to quality releases around the same price points) so that there is no harm in waiting even if the above specs interest you.

Given their public domain like company standards, it is even possible they will release the titles individually in the future with slightly improved encodes if both features do indeed share a BD-25 (they make sense like that.. do it wrong multiple times in different ways).
