The Collector shows April 6th but Blockbuster has it to rent today. They have both bluray and standard dvd. For these Blockbuster Premieres it seems they don't promote them very well and they kind of sneak up on you.

"James Cameron told The Wall Street Journal today that Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the Blu-ray and "standard def" DVD for Avatar on Thursday, April 22, which is Earth Day."

Seems to come from the horses mouth and confirm mvieguy's uncomfirmed date.

Word has it. that Several Studios are holding out on the Academy Awards, Then They will Announce their Titles

for The Weinstein Company and Sony (A Single Man, and The Last Station) its a matter of Wording. They think that the words Academy award winner or nominee will help the rental sales.

for Invictus, its a matter of principle, since it was only really nominated for a couple, they are really hoping Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon win.

As of right now, A Single Man, The last station are scheduled for Early May

i don't understand why studios insist on releasing some movies a month after the Oscars are announced.ppl want to buy and watch the movies the same day or the day after the Oscars are announced not a month or 2 after.i understand some are still playing in cinemas and some was just playing a few weeks ago but some movies need to be out by now..
