Yeah, it just takes you to the DVD Empire site. He posted the correct link though, it's just truncated for some reason.

Fantastic movie. Hopefully it will have some of the rumored stuff that was to appear in the first DVD release (deleted scenes, a commentary).

ugh.... hate the awful name but I'm hopeful for the new SE. Apparently there's hours of deleted footage out there so it'd be nice to see at least a little more of the late, great John Candy on the disc.

I thought we had a better chance of playing pick-up sticks with our butt cheeks than get a special edition of this!
Day 1 purchase for me, even if it eventually hits Blu-ray, my favorite comedy of all time. Career best for Martin, Candy, and Hughes. Totally hoping we get some of the deleted scenes, and I know Martin has said before this is his favorite film of his work so I guess we can expect participation from him.

I am ecstatic to see this classic finally getting the SE that it so desperately needs. I'm also shocked that it's being made with how dvd has been ignored since the dawn of blu ray. Nice to see somebody realizes that dvds still sell.

...So no South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut - The Shut your Fucking Face Uncle Fucker Edition?

I hope the special features are good. I mean, John Hughes hasn't done an on-camera interview in decades as far as I know, I don't think Steve Martin (with the exception of new films like The Pink Panther 2 where it's the norm) has ever participated in anything created exclusively for a DVD, and John Candy is obviously no longer with us. That said, Steve has named the movie as his favorite, so maybe he'll actually show up on this DVD.Yes. Can this totally completed special edition really be just sitting in their vaults?

One of my favorite comedy films ever! Hope this will get a release on Blu-ray too but if not I'll probably pick this up if its got any decent extras.

Took them long enough, I hope there is some extra material included and a new transfer. This is a classic comedy, one of my favorite films, and looking forward to it.

This is easily in my top 5 all-time favorite comedies. But, I seriously doubt this is going to be full of extras.
There's an over 3 hour cut of the film that Hughes himself has but I know that won't make it. I'm not anticipating any deleted scenes or a Hughes commentary. Hell I wish they'd go all out for this.. easily one of the most deserved films of an actual Special Edition but I'm just not holding my breath.
I just watched it the other day and it really holds up well. So many one-liners.
The soundtrack has been out of print for quite some time and regularly fetches quite a chunk of change on eBay.

If you're a fan of Laughter, you'll enjoy it.
Sorry to use the hyperbole there but this movie needs to be seen by everyone. Steve Martin and John Candy in their primes are truly hard to beat. The comedy is amazing but it actually has a lot of heart, thanks to John Candy's performance.
First day buy for me!
